Many thanks to all those intrepid gardeners who braved the weather at the weekend. 70 people came on Saturday which proved the worst day with heavy showers of rain and sleet with high winds but some bright spells in between. Sunday, with 99 visitors, was actually the best day weatherwise we have had for a long time. The snowdrops looked good and enjoyed the sun.
The majority of people came indoors to warm up and had either soup or the cake on offer and then off to the plant stalls. When our sums are complete – a cheque will be sent to the NGS for over £700.00 – so thanks to all visitors and all helpers who make the weekend possible and worthwhile.
